Course Description

This course is designed to teach existing business owners about strategic planning and how to use strategic planning to grow or improve their business. It is a four day course, conducted one day per week. This course utilizes a case study that attendees will work on during each session. The case study is based on a real company and its strategic planning process. The case has been modified to reflect current constraints and opportunities in the post COVID environment. Attendees must have the ability to attend each class session, as the case study will build on each weeks class. Attendees will be assigned to groups of three to four to work on the case study. An application is required.

Strategic Growth Academy

Day one - What is a strategic growth plan and why should I do it?

Day Two - Human Resource requirements considerations to implement a strategic plan

Day Three - Marketing needed to support your plan (Internal & External)

Day Four - Accounting & Finance - Do the numbers justify the project?

Learner Outcomes

Attendees should leave this course with the following takeaways:

A good understanding of what strategic planning is and how to use the process.
How to assemble the correct internal and external participants to tackle strategic planning to increase growth or improve efficiency.
How to develop a case study for the strategic item they want to explore.
